Instructions
  1. Beat the eggs, sesame oil and salt together. Set aside. In another bowl, mix the seasonings together and set aside.
  2. Heat a large pan on low heat without oil. Spread out the pepperoni and bacon and cook till almost crispy. Set aside. Use the rendered fat from the pepperoni and bacon to fry the rice.
  3. Turn the heat to medium, put in garlic and saute till fragrant but not brown then toss in the asparagus and eggs. mix well. Let the egg sit and brown a little on the bottom.
  4. Just before the top of the egg coagulates, turn heat on medium high, put in the rice and saute to combine while breaking the eggs to smaller pieces. Put in the seasonings, pepperoni and bacon. Salt and White pepper to taste. Mix well.
  5. Saute till the egg are cooked and the rice are heated through. Serve immediately.
Recipe Notes

You can reduce the rendered fat to 1 tbsp and toss the rest. The more fat you use from the pepperoni and bacon the more fragrant your fried rice would be.

Occasionally i would put in curry powder, it adds another level of depth and flavor to this dish.
